Dan: You have missing quotes around "Page", "Paragraph", "Outline". For Instance:
InsertObject($Section, Page) should be InsertObject($Section, "Page")

Hi Omer,
unfortunately the code keeps giving me an error, unexpected parenthesis ) bracket
And I can't edit any further in the macro editor

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?>
<Macro name="Insert Subpages From Bold Paragraphs" category="Test Macro" description="" publishDate="00-00-00T00:00:00.000Z" version="13">
  <Expression>$copy = false</Expression>
<ForEach var="Paragraph">
    <Array>QueryObjects("Paragraph", GetCurrentPage())</Array>
    <If>
      <Condition>$Paragraph.bold</Condition>
      <Expression>$Page = InsertObject($Section, Page)</Expression>
      <Expression>QueryObjects(Paragraph, $Page)[0] = $Paragraph.text</Expression>
      <Expression>$copy = true</Expression>
      <Expression>$outline = InsertObject($Page, Outline)</Expression>
    </If>
    <Else>
      <If>
        <Condition>$copy</Condition>
        <Expression>InsertObject($outline, Paragraph).text = $Paragraph.text</Expression>
      </If>
    </Else>
  </ForEach>
</Macro>

please do advise thank you

Dan: Quotes aren't expected. You should remove them.

Hi Omer,
Thank you for the help :)
I added this to a new macro - I am not sure if it was meant to add the quotes to each line, otherwise I couldn't enter the code.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?>
<Macro name="Insert Subpages From Bold Paragraphs" category="Test Macro" description="" publishDate="00-00-00T00:00:00.000Z" version="13">
  <Expression>$copy = false</Expression>
  <ForEach var="p">
    <Array>"paragraph"</Array>
    <If>
      <Condition>"$p.bold"</Condition>
      <Expression>"$page = InsertObject($section, Page)"</Expression>
      <Expression>"QueryObjects(Paragraph, $page)[0] = $p.text"</Expression>
      <Expression>$copy = true</Expression>
      <Expression>"$outline = InsertObject($page, Outline)"</Expression>
    </If>
    <Else>
      <If>
        <Condition>$copy</Condition>
        <Expression>"InsertObject($outline, Paragraph).text = $p.text"</Expression>
      </If>
    </Else>
  </ForEach>
</Macro>

I ran the macro but no new pages were made :(
I must have messed up the code?

Omer Atay - 2016-10-27

Dan: You should do something like

$copy = false
For each $p //going through each paragraph
    if ($p.bold) //this is a bold one
        $page = InsertObject($section, Page)
        QueryObjects(Paragraph, $page)[0] = $p.text //setting title here
        $copy = true //we will start copying to this page
        $outline = InsertObject($page, Outline)
    else // this is not bold
        if ($copy) // we should now copy
            InsertObject($outline, Paragraph).text = $p.text

Make sure to always insert at least one paragraph to outlines you create, otherwise they will be invalid and you will see macro error.

Hi Omer,
Hope you are well.
I am trying to split my page example the title for the new
subpage is bold, or I could use some other identifier to split the page.

# Hello 1
Text,text,text,text,Text,text,text,text,
Text,text,text,text,

# Hello 2
Text,text,text,text,Text,text,text,text,
Text,text,text,text,

I am trying to create 2 new subpages with the above 2 paragraphs

Below is the XML I am testing on but nothing worked out after a week of trying :(

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?>
<Macro name="Create Subpages From Paragraphs " category="Test Macro" publishDate="00-00-00T00:00:00.000Z" version="13">
  <Comment text="----------------------------------------------------------------------------------" />
  <Comment text="    Insert Subpages From Paragraphs" />
  <Comment text="----------------------------------------------------------------------------------" />
  <Expression>$Section = GetCurrentSection()</Expression>
  <ForEach var="Paragraph">
    <Array>QueryObjects("Paragraph", GetCurrentPage())</Array>
    <If>
      <Condition>$Paragraph.selection != "none"</Condition>
      <Expression>$NewPage = InsertObject($Section, "Page", -1)</Expression>
      <Expression>$NewPage.pageLevel = 2</Expression>
      <Expression>QueryObjects("Paragraph", $NewPage)[0].text = $Paragraph.text</Expression>
    </If>
  </ForEach>
</Macro>

When you have time please do help
Thank you
:)

This is a very great macro.
It would be great if i can have the ability to create new in any section i want. The reason for this is i have say 5 sections. Each one has its own default template and whenever i create new page in a section it is created as with that template.
Advantage of this is, it increases productivity many folds. I have the ability to create templates and if you can provide me the ability to create pages for selectively.
Thanks a ton..for this lovely add in..
