It would be nice if the line length could be entered as a parameter. In my case, I would like to set it to be 7.5 inches. I typed 75 (monospaced) Courier 12 characters under the line and so it looks to be 7.5 inches.

I wanted a 7.5 inch line to gauge my note taking to fit onto a legal page size.

Ideally (this might not be the correct forum) - I would like a macro that put an 8.5" X 11" rectangle on the OneNote screen so that when I printed a PDF of the page, it would fit into a one PDF page. I don't want to get involved with messing with margins. That limits input countryside I get to work with. Instead, I would like to be able to input multiple 8.5" X 11" rectangles as I need them.

Downloaded on 2017-09-18 and tried it in OneNote 2013 running on Windows 10. The cursor stayed at the end of the inserted horizontal line so I had to hit the enter key to start typing below the inserted line.

Tammy: You could use automatic macro deployment to pick the previous version. This isn't super user friendly and intended mostly for enterprise customers but I will e-mail you with instructions.

Is there any way to download the previous horizontal line before the new update? I don't want it to add a line for typing. Love this program. I"m so glad I discovered it.

Did not realize that this just inserts a fixed number of continuous underscores to your note.  for anyone that are just trying to draw a "perfectly horizontal" line, just hold down Shift before and while you draw your line.  Hope this helps people!

Agree with Bobby, would be nice followed by a carriage return so possible to immediately start typing.

Works perfect for me. You have to go where it downloaded and double click on the download then it shows in your macros. Loving these addons.

Phuanobi: Double click on the downloaded file to install it in OneNote. Once installed it will show up in your Home ribbon tab.

I agre with John. It does not work. Installed OK but it is nowhere to be found. Reinstalling does not help. It is totally invisible. For reference the TOC macro works fine so there is no issue with the installer as such.

Can you change the font of the horizontal line it inserts?

The macro inserts 89 underscores, so it looks like an unbroken horizontal line but it's not the same as, say, the horizontal line you can insert in Microsoft Word or in html editing. Not a complaint, just letting people know what they're getting

I would like to add a carriage return after the line, so I can start typing without having to press the end key and then Carriage return.

I so appreciate these macros, but these lines don\'t appear to be working for me.  I don\'t see them in the Ribbon.  Should I be looking elsewhere or using a shortcut key?

Philippe sorry that the macro didn\'t survive the transition to the database and some characters were garbled. I updated it and it should work now. Please re-download and let me know if it still doesn\'t work.

Interesting, but I am not quite sure of the purpose of this macro. I downloaded it and all it does is inserting a long line of \"??????????????????????????\". Can someone explain how and when we should use this macro?
