Fixed it to correctly extract only the highlighted text. Also now keeps the highlight color in the extracted text.

Can you provide a macro that would allow the extraction of highlighted text not just in a single page, but across an entire Notebook? Preferably generating a separate page with a link to the original files, before or after each extracted text.
     I like to highlight important text within long articles, and this would allow allow me to gather all this information into one page.

I just figured out the problem: if the text including highlights is in a table, the macro will extract all of the text. If that same text is on a blank OneNote page, the macro works fine. My apologies.
