it's very slow for me also...like four minutes.  I also have a very large section in which I keep daily notes.

@Yoyoma: Sorry to hear it is slow-running for you. It is a ridiculously simple macro - just three lines. It doesn't really "process" the page, it just looks for the selection/insertion point.

This is a very slow processing macro.  If you have a significant amount of text this thing takes forever to insert the CURRENT DATE.  Why does it need to process entire page text in order to just insert the current date?
