I second McPato777's comment - almost a wonderful macro, but I need to exclude checked tags or it's not useful.  This is especially the case as all items with a given tag are listed under the tags heading, I can't differentiate between tasks that are done and those that are not!

This macro ("Tag Summary with Page Names") is great except for a huge and hopefully easy to fix gap: provide the ability to include/exclude completed/checked tags.

Likely the people who find this macro helpful rely a lot on checkbox-type tags, when creating a summary one is typically interested on the pending/uncomplete tags not the checked/completed.

I'm looking for a tag summary like this that also includes the Section name (Tag Summary with Section Names and Page Names).  Does something like this exist?

DonB: What is the memory error you are seeing? This should work comfortable with hundreds of pages. There is also "Tag Summary for Specifig Tag" macro which will search only a specific macro.

Using the Tag Summary with Page names, is there a way to adjust the Scope to subsections or "Selected" pages within that section?  Problem I am having is with so many pages, I am getting memory errors unless I decrease the amount of pages in the scope.  If this cannot be done, is there a way to search for a certain TAG by name instead of querying all that are contained on the pages?  Any help would be appreciated.

This is great, but I also could really do with the tags being seperated out by section as well as page name (or at least having the section name as well as the page name in the brackets). I have a whole load of template sections with the same page names under different section names (I would've done this differently in hindsight).

Any ideas how I would go about doing this? I've tried setting a varailbe to Name, but it kept giving me the same page name for all tags...

Also keen to be ablet to chose the tag type but much less so. I'll keep trying and will post my findings if I get anywhere..

I'd love to have a To-Do list that, instead of the page name, tells me what section group it's in!  Possible?

I modified the macro to prompt for the tag name before executing the rest, works very well =)

However, how can we handle paragraphs that have multiple tags? It seems that the tagName property contains only one tag (the first one in the XML source, apparently).

shnk, you can edit the macro to where it says:
---That has property(tagName) is not equal to \"\"
and change it to
---That has property(tagName) is equal to \"tag-name-here\"
and have a macro that does this for specific tags. If you can\'t figure out how to get it working, I can add a macro or update this one so that it allows you to pick a tag. You will still need to manually add your custom tags to the list by editing the macro because the list of custom tags isn\'t available to add-ins, so Onetastic can\'t read the list and display there.

ok, but it would be nice if the same thing can be done for specific tags especially customized ones.
